Video from your customers, without asking them to install anything.
Testimonials, entries, greetings, reviews, updates: your users record from the page they're already on, on whatever phone or laptop they have, or upload a clip they made earlier. You get an mp4 that plays everywhere, a thumbnail for the gallery, a text transcript and a webhook the moment each one arrives.
No app, no account, no upload wait. Works in WordPress and form builders with no code.
Collecting video from customers, learners and viewers at
Two ways in. One file out.
Some people want to record now; some already have the clip on their phone. The same widget takes both, and everything comes out as the same mp4 with the same thumbnail.
Record on the page
Camera and mic straight from the browser, with a countdown, a time limit you set, and replay-and-re-record until they're happy.
- Phones, tablets and laptops, desktop and mobile browsers
- Streams while recording, so pressing stop is the end, not the start of an upload
- Show the prompt on screen with the teleprompter, or your own question above the camera
Upload a clip they already have
A video shot earlier in the camera app, from a drone, or sent by a friend, submitted through the same widget and processed the same way.
- Any format the phone or camera produced, up to 5 GiB on PRO
- Rotation fixed, converted to mp4, thumbnail extracted
- Metadata and your
payloadattached, same as a live recording
From "record your story" to a published gallery.
Ask
A prompt and a recorder on your site, form or campaign page, or a hosted recorder page you share by link.
Record or upload
The user records or picks a file; it streams to the nearest region as it goes.
Process
Converted to mp4, oriented correctly, thumbnail and filmstrip extracted, your watermark added if set.
Moderate
Review in the dashboard, or in your own tool fed by the webhook. Approve, reject, delete.
Publish
Embed with the playback URL, push to YouTube from the dashboard, or serve from your own bucket.
What people collect with it.
The recorder is the same; the prompt, the time limit and where the video goes are yours.
Testimonials and reviews
Customers on camera saying what they'd say to a friend. Shorter and more credible than a written form.
Contest and campaign entries
Fans and viewers submit clips for a show, a brand campaign or a competition, from their phones, in the thousands.
Greetings and memories
Messages for a wedding, a retirement, a milestone, collected from everyone who couldn't be there and stitched into one keepsake.
Speaking practice
Learners record themselves answering a prompt; the file goes to a teacher, a peer or a scoring model.
Team introductions and updates
New hires, remote teams and community members introduce themselves or post a weekly update without a meeting.
Support and feedback
Customers show the problem instead of describing it, or tell you what they think of the new feature, on camera.
No developer required. One available if you want.
Add a video field to a form you already use, or a recorder to a WordPress page, and submissions arrive with the rest of the entry. When you outgrow that, the same recorder has full APIs.
Prefer code? Embed code, npm, a React hook, the JS APIs, webhooks and a REST API.
Share your story
A Gravity Forms entry with a AddPipe video field, no code.
Details that matter for UGC.
Plays everywhere
Every submission, whatever device made it, becomes H.264 + AAC mp4 with the moov atom first. No "this video can't be played" in your gallery.
Portrait stays portrait
Phone rotation metadata is applied, so vertical clips aren't sideways and thumbnails match the video.
Thumbnail and filmstrip
A thumbnail for quickly embedding the video and a 25-frame filmstrip for screening, extracted from every video.
Up to 4K
Plan-dependent ceiling for webcam recording; uploaded files keep their own resolution.
Watermark PRO
Your logo in a corner of every processed video, added during processing.
Time limits and prompts
Cap each recording with mrt and show the timer on screen, so you get 30-second answers, not 6-minute ones.
Moderation before publishing
Nothing is public until you make it so. Review in the dashboard or your own tool; delete anything with a click or an API call.
Consent and retention
Collect consent in your form, and let lifecycle rules delete clips when a campaign ends or retention period kicks in.
Publish where you like
Playback URLs for embedding, push to YouTube from the dashboard, or serve from your own S3, R2, Box or Dropbox.
Questions about collecting video.
Do my users need an app or an account?
No. They record or upload from your page in their browser, on any phone, tablet or computer. They never see AddPipe as a service.
Can they upload a video instead of recording live?
Yes, through the same widget. Uploads go through the same processing, so they arrive as mp4s with thumbnails like everything else.
Can I add this to a form without a developer?
Yes. AddPipe has a WordPress plugin and integrations for Gravity Forms, Jotform, Formstack, Ninja Forms, Formsite and other builders; the video URL usually arrives as a field in the form entry.
How do I review submissions before they go live?
Every recording appears in your dashboard with its thumbnail and metadata. Embed the ones you want, delete the rest, or route them to your own moderation tool with one of our webhooks.
Is there a limit on how many videos I can collect?
No per-campaign limit. Plans prepay recording minutes and include 1 TB of storage; large campaigns are billed per minute above the plan value, with volume discounts. See pricing.
Can I use the videos in marketing?
That's between you and your users; collect consent in the form and keep it with the recording. AddPipe delivers the files and holds nothing back.
Is the content secure?
Encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the EU or US or in your own bucket, with deletion and retention controls. SOC 2 Type I. Details.
What if I need help integrating?
Contact us and an engineer will reply. For work beyond AddPipe, our custom development partners can help.
